Drive the Change

August 14, 2008 – Venice Beach, CA) An estimated 300 people gathered together in Venice Beach, CA for the first annual Drive the Change event. Environmentally conscious celebrities, activists and community influencers attended the event, which celebrated the progress of environmental leaders to date and introduced Sabertec’s Blade as a new and affordable way for individuals to reduce their carbon footprint, capture toxic gasoline particulate material emissions from vehicles and increase fuel efficiency.

Drive the Change was headlined by world famous DJ’s and Blade users, The Crystal Method. Environmental advocates Michael Alexander of Conscious Living TV and Darren Moore of Discovery Channel's Alter-Eco, also installed Blades on their Rides at Drive the Change.

Drive the Change was truly a “green” carpet event, with a wide selection of beverages provided by Organic Vinters, Parducci Wines, vitaminwater and Steaz Beverages and with organic hors d’oeurves supplied by M Café. Guests enjoyed Theo’s Chocolate sweets while taking in the ambiance of The Stronghold, a refurbished neighborhood speakeasy from 1925. Additional sponsors Ecoist, Greenopia, and Eton contributed eco gifts for all who attended.
